SkySafari 5 Plus on Google Pixel purchased from Google Play Store

Purchased SkySafari 5 Plus yesterday from Google Play Store. Downloading even all of last night, nothing finished by this morning. Tried again several times, with no finish. Chatted with Google Play Store trouble shooting online and went thru extensive trouble shooting on my Google Pixel phone, including deleting app data and cache. Still download won't finish and install. They finally suggested I now contact the developer.  Pixel has 100GB free of 128 GB internal storage, with no separate micro SD card.

All other apps downloaded yesterday and this morning went fine.  I have tons of Google Play apps installed successfully on this Pixel phone for months already.

Any Pixel owners out there using SkySafari 5 Plus successfully?  Any download and install issues?  How were they solved?

    I have a Pixel C tablet I've been using for a couple of years with never a problem with any of the versions of SkySafari PRO.  But I guess that's not the same as the new Pixel phone.

    Thanx, Woody.  If you, or others seeing this post, run across possible solutions that may apply to my situation, I would certainly appreciate knowing about those. And, If/when i find a solution to this, I will post that back to thew forum.

    I've received no contact whatsoever on this post from Simulation Curriculum since original post on December 4, 2017.  This is a purchased app that is confirmed as paid for by Google and Verizon.  All it does is download and download and download, etc, etc, etc.  It never finishes and therefore never even starts to install.

    I've already contacted Google and Verizon and gone through many attempts to make settings compatible with this app.  I am not having trouble downloading and installing any other apps from Google Play Store.

    I've seen other posts in this general area that Simulation Curriculum prides themselves on the level of response to customers.  Why is this customer not being responded to?

    Fred,

    Sorry for the delay, and thanks for speaking with me today on the phone to troubleshoot the matter.  I just sent you an email where you can try installing SS4 Pro as a comparison point, and I also mentioned a few things you could check on such as if you are connected to stable WiFi with your phone, and if not, does your configuration allow large amounts of data to be downloaded over a cellular connection?

    I look forward to hearing back, and thanks again for your patience and understanding.
