SN7 update crashed Win10, Upon reboot SN7 will not start

Surface Pro 4 i7/16GB/512GB running Windows 10 for the last 15 months.

Starry Night 7 has been installed and working fine.  Last week got a notice about an update and asked if I wanted SN7 to download and install it.  Said yes.   Windows 10 crashed shortly thereafter.

Rebooted computer -- all is fine, except that Stary Night seems to be complaining about incompatible file versions and some files being zip'd that shouldn't be.  I expect I'll have to completely reinstall SN7.  Somewhat concerned about whether this might happen again.

As for my computer hardware, the SSD is quite fast and I've yet to see any other signs that this is anything but a Starry Night Pro issue.

    Hi Matthew,

Please post screenshots of the error messages, etc.

    Thanks!

Other error messages were visible when the software updated but I didn't capture them at the time.  Also, before crashing now, SN7 pro asks if I want to send an error report automatically over the internet...I've clicked yes..so some info should have made it to your developers.
