Skysafari 6

Is there a specific release date for Skysafari 6?

Also, if you are interested, here are some suggestions for SS6:

Add an identification pointer, (AR ability)

Add quasars

Add black holes

Add 3-D layers of the planets

Add new discovered objects. (More planets, and other new discoveries)

Add 3-d touch capability and widget

Add camera mode so you can see what you are pointing at in the sky and identify it.

Make is so you can come to the surface of the planets and moons to see the features.

Add the Kuiper belt

Make it so we can actually see and orbit other galaxies and nebulae in 3-D

Add galaxy clusters and filaments

Add 3-D star clusters/ galaxy clusters

Add landmarks on Jupiter like the Great Red Spot.

Update earth. It's very blurry and hard to see

Update the filters. They are very blurry and hard to see things as well.

Make it so when you tap on an object in filter modes it will give names and descriptions on those objects.

Add the satellites that orbit other planets.

Thanks for the service!

    Hello,

I have a Question to my SkySafari 6 Pro Version, Window: Advanced Search/Planer:

In the German GUI the items "Höhe in Grad" are twice, but have different meanings.
So I suppose the first entry "Höhe in Grad" means the altitude area, and the second entry "Höhe in Grad" means the azimuth area of the desired objects.
But when I enter the values as shown in the attached screenshot, I also get Objects that does not match the entered azimuth area.
The App finds objects in the north, different from 170 - 195 azimuth degrees, for instance M1 Crab Nebula at East 86.4 degrees, Height 27 degrees.
So I am not sure whether the second entry "Höhe in Grad" means the azimuth area.
Can you please correct the German translation in this window?

Is it possible, to get the English GUI in Germany?

    A second suggestion:
It would be better to have a "Save Search Criteria" button instead a "Reset All" Button in the Advanced Search/Planer window, because when the Advanced Search window will be opened again, all fields are empty anyway.
It would be better to be able to have the former search criteria filled, so one can refine the former search to get more suitable results.

    Third question:
I've created an own panorama picture from my balcony and imported it via iTunes. So far so good.
But as you can see in the SkySafari screenshot attached, there is a transparent "hole" (highlighted in red) in the roof of my house that I do not know, where it comes from. The created panorama png-file does not have this transparent area.
Do you have an idea what is the reason of this transparent circle? Is it a SkySafari bug or is something wrong with my SkySafari settings?

Many thanks for help and your support
    Werner

By the way: SkySarai is really great App. The best planetary App I've seen so long !!! Congratulations !!!

    Hi Sal

I think this may not be the best thread for this question, but I can help. Windows isn't currently supported for SkySafari. If you have an Apple OS on your Dell, you could probably get SkySafari working.

Hi Chris, it's unfortunate they don't make that clear before you buy SkyFi. The good news is that there are other softwares available.

    Thank you Chris.
