Is there documentation/code available that describes the communication between Sky Safari and a basic encoder telescope? What is the form of the request that Sky Safari Sends? What is a the format of the response it expects?

Bill Tschumy Look up the BBox protocol. It is what almost all basic encoder system use and it is what we use who you choose "Basic Encoder System".
