Can I hide the new eclipse button?

Hi guys

I would like to hide the eclipse button as 1, its not visible from my location, 2 it's been placed on the extreme left of the screen where the search icon was which when accidentally pressed causes a bright white web page to open destroying my night vision!

Could you either move it or give the option to turn it off please?

It would also be nice to be able to hide any buttons which aren't used by the astronomer.

Many thanks

Arthur

    Art,

They button disappear on Sept 1st.  There is not option for hiding it now.

Actually, if you are on iOS you can move it to a different location.  Go into "Settings > Appearance & Behavior" and tap the "Toolbar Icon Order" item.  From there you can drag the Eclipse button using the 3 horizontal lines to a new location.

thanks Bill. I'm using the Android version, does this not have that option? Can it be introduced?
I have also noticed on occasion that if I touch an object a blue line appears with details referring to to the currently selected object. How can I use this function as it only happens occasionally?

I have reordering the toolbar as something to add to SkySafari 6.  It will not happen for SS5.

The blue line is "measurement mode".  It is enabled by double tapping an object.  You get a line showing the distance from the selected object to the double tapped object.  If the wrong object was chosen during the double tap you can tap and drag the end to move it around.  This is explained in the Help.
