Sky bt haveing problems conecting to scope

Hello I have a 15 inch obbsision scope with argonavis and gen1 servocat.jr I can get the sky bt to conect to my Samsung s8 but I keep getting a message saying will not connect to scope. I have lost my manual for my servo cat gen 1. And am not real sure how to plug into it. There is a spot on top and one on the side to plug into . I am using the 9 pin with the 6 pin cable. I have tryrd to look on line for instructions but nothing for the gen 1. I am using the 9 pin serial adaptor and have tryrd the 4pin and the 6 pin cable.i think I need a more detailed information about how it all works. I am getting bits of info from all over on line and am trying to make it all work. If anyone has a gen 1manual or knows were I can down load one on line that would help or if someone has the same setup that works with all the settings for the argonavis and wireing diagram.that would really help.thanks John johnston.

First you need to make sure you use a ServoCAT serial cable.  Different scope manufacturers wire their cables differently and it is unlikely a generic serial cable will work.

As far as how to hook it up, you might contact ServoCAT for detailed instructions.  It has changed somewhat with different generations of ServoCAT.  You would connect the SkyBT just as you would connect the ServoCAT to a PC (same cable, same settings).

This document from ur site is somewhat dated but may give you some info.

Thanks Bill. I have been to that sight and looked over the info...but I am still not sure which port to plug into. Gen one has one on the top but it is not marked. I am thinking it is the right one but not sure. I will go back and check all my wires to make sure I have the right one...just wish I had the gen 1 manual to make sure.all I really know for sure is that I really love that sky safari pro 5
App. I tell everyone I talk to about it. Now that I have retired I have more time then money but wish I had the brain cells I once had. Not that I had that many to start with....thanks for your help. Clear skies to you all.

Well, as I said, I'm sure a quick email to StellarCAT would answer all your questions about the cable required and where to plug it in.
