SkySafari 6 Pro (UX Feedback) | Daylight Visible When 'Show Horizon and Sky' Is Off

I am setting up my new SkySafari 6, and I am very satisfied, but I have found a small bug: the subsettings under 'Show Horizon and Sky' include 'Show Daylight', but the daylight is shown even when 'Show Horizon and Sky' is off and 'Show Daylight' is greyed out. In order to remove the daylight, it is necessary to switch the main setting on, set 'Show Daylight' off and then switch the main setting off again.

I think this is a general problem because I  believe I have seen similar behaviour with another main setting where the subsetting is not switched off together with the main setting, but now that I look for it, I cannot find it again!

This is not a new problem.  SkySafari has always worked this way.  I think it is debatable whether daylight should be turned off when Show Horizon & Sky is off.  In any case, it seems to be a very minor issue.

I agree, it is a minor issue. But if you decide that daylight is independent of a horizon, then you should not grey this setting out when horizon is off.

Fair enough.  I'll consider reordered the settings to put the Show Daylight at the bottom leave it enabled.  We could also look into not drawing daylight when this the Show Horizon & Sky is off.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This has been fixed in the 6.0.1 release.  We no longer disable this control when "Show Horizon & Sky" is OFF.
