SkySafari 5 Pro + Celestron SkyPortal WiFi Module + Celestron 8 SE Connection Failure

Using Celestron 8SE, Celestron SKYPORTAL WIFI MODULE and SkySafari 5 Pro or Celestron SkyPortal, Get error message:

Connection Failure
SkySafari Pro (or Celestron SkyPortal) can make a wireless connection to the scope, but the scope is not responding.
Make Sure the scope is powered on and connected correctly. Also make sure you selected the correct scope type.

The Scope type in SkySafari setup is "Celestron Wi-Fi".

    Hi,

    Have you star-aligned the Celestron 8SE using the hand controller BEFORE trying to connect with SkySafari?  if not, please do that first.

    Same result, Connection Failure.

    Nissim,

    Have you talked to Celestron about this?  This sounds like either the Celestron Wi-Fi module is failing or there is problem with the mount.

    Also, you should *never* star align using the hand controller when using either the SkyPortal app or SkySafari with the Celestron Wi-Fi option.  The two alignment models will conflict.  However, I don't think that is the root of your problem.
