    Toon,

Where is the GPS plugged into?  Is this on Android?  Mac?  We would need more information on how you are using this.  It is also the first (possibly second) time anyone has requested anything like this and as such would have a fairly low priority.

We use a serial GPS, connected to our pc/laptop.

So...  We can connect directly to the pc throug USB (with USB-TTL), but we can also use an Arduino to create the serial connection.

The GPS data will be received as NMEA or SIRFF..

(Take a look at the source files of EQMOD they have made this allready possible.)....

The data then has to be translated to the location screen of Starry Night.

1: Ask for COM port used for GPS
2: Translate the received RAW data to NMEA or SIRFF.
3: Fill the location bars with the data from the found coordinates.

That's the way I made it happen for my heavily modded EQ6 mount. (In VB)

I'm not totally sure, how to realize it in Quicktime, but I think the principe is common.

BTW... I have translated Starry Night to Dutch (Hard coded).. Works like a charm.

Maybe that is the next option.. Working with placeholders (strings) which can be replaced in the chosen language...

Are you talking about Starry Night or SkySafari?  You have posted this the SkySafari Feature Request section.
