SkySafari Pro (Android) | Celestron Nexstar 8 GPS with Nexstar + SkyBT Can Not Connect

Celestron Nexstar 8 GPS with Nexstar + remote version 5.29.
I have a SKYBT and skysafari plus. The app tells me i am communicating with the scope but cannot connect. I have turned on, and off the set time, updated the firmware, changed the scope type to every celestron model and i am now at a loss. I have also used a tablet and a phone and neither will connect. I am using android as well. Please help me resolve this issue. Thanks.

    Cannot correct is not the right term.  The exact message is

    Connection Failure:  Skysfari plus can make a wireless connection to the scope, but the scope is not responding.  Make sure the scope is powered on and connected correctly. Also make sure you selected the correct scope type.
