[Bug] SkySafari 6 Pro | Comet 62P/Tsuchinshan 1 Using Incorrect Orbital Elements

I was putting this in my observation list and it's RA/Dec on my IOS Devices was RA07h 46m 13h 02m and Dec +23Degrees 37'.  On my Mac SS5 Pro it was RA13h 02 Dec +04 deg 16'.  It was roughly that on The Sky Live and Heaven's above.  I put in 24P/Schaumasse and it was correct on all platforms.  Both iOS and Mac were updated today.

It appears 62P is going rogue.

Forget to mention I'm using SS6 Pro.  Also I checked SS5Pro on my iPad and it's correct.  It's an IOS 6 problem.

    James,

It looks like the data we are pulling from the Minor Planet Center in SS6 is showing orbital elements from 2008, whereas in SS5 it is Nov 23, 2017. That is the source of he discrepancy.  We are now pulling the very large MPCORB.DAT file from the MPC.  This is updated daily and is supposed to have the latest and greatest of everything.  In general, our comet and asteroid data should be much better than in SS5.  Obviously in this particular case it is not.  We will look into this.

James, we just made a change to the data we retrieve when doing an orbit data update.  We had switch to using data from JPL and it had out of date data for this comet. We are now pulling from the Minor Planet Center and JPL, taking the best of each.

Do a "Minor Body Orbit Update" and you will get the good data.
