Sky Safari Pro 6 (UX Feedback) | Moon Displayed As White Circle

In SSP6, the moon's image has been downgraded to a white dot. On the iPad, the moon is displayed as a white circle (in correct phase) in fields of view greater than 18°. When the field is <18°, the moon is displayed as an actual image of the moon. On the iPhone, this threshold is arond <8.6°, when the moon changes from white circle to actual image.

In SSP5, the moon always displayed as an actual image. This design change takes away a certain quality of the app that I like much, like attention to detail, a sophisticated touch, a feature that differentiates from other apps. I create and markup screenshots from SSP often and the actual moon image is certainly more attractive that the white circle icon. Not sure what prompted this change, like a different Moon image resolution, but would like the actual moon image display restored in an update.

Thank you for the consideration and for producing the best mobile astronomy app on the market.

We had innumerable complaints that the Moon was not visible enough when zoomed way out.  This was particularly the case when it was a crescent Moon.  Our solution was to draw a stylized representation when zoomed out.  Much more visible.  I don't think this is likely to change in the near future.
