I'd like to propose feature for turning off automatic time and date reset when manipulating (turning on and off) compass, zoom, AR and maybe all other operations which automatically resets time and date.
Reason:
Planing and exploring.
Often, I turn on SS for checking what the sky will be, not just how it is now. At some locations, it would be great to plan, even with AR, where and when some objects will be and if they will be visible (AR) between rocks, mountains, buildings, trees at the location. There are apps for virtualize 3d landscape for planning, but physically visit some good accessible/interesting location and plan for even months ahead, make screenshots with phone, is very effective, detailed and valuable - and quite easy to do.
In exploring future/past sky, after taking info on objects, it would be distracting if time and date resets while returning to compass/ar mode or zooming.
Implementation
Switch can be in time box frame-there is space and "hold"/"no realtime" state can be marked changing color of upper left time value (e.g. to green).
Side feature request:
In AR, when looking down, there could be switchable usable compass rosette, to easily calibrate AR compass to physical compass.
Thanks,
Peter
