Can I Configure SynScan_Link From Windows 10? (Answer: No - SynScan_Link Only Works With SkySafari 6 On iOS, But Android Works Too, Read On!)

Please help get SynScan Link. I can't find a page to download the app anywhere.

Well, what you need is not SynScanLink, but the SynScan app. You can get it for the various OS here: https://skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/

SkySafari only exists for iOS, Android, and OS X. SynScanLink is the telescope type that you choose in SkySafari when you have the SynScan app.

Thank you for your help. There is no "SynScan Link" in the list of available types in SkySafari 6 Plus. Without it, I can't control the assembly, so I'm looking for a solution. I have SynScan Pro installed. I spent a few dollars and I can't get the most out of it.
My telescope type: Sky- Watcher Star Discovery MAK127 with Star Discovery GT steering mount with built-in wifi.

I only have iOS, and my SkySafari 6 Pro certainly has Skywatcher SynScanLink:

Perhaps you do not have the most recent build?

I found the following info here: https://www.star-surfing.com/blog1/2019/12/4/how-to-synscan-wifi-adapter-and-skysafari

Setup skysafari for SynScan App on Android.

    • Remove the SynScan Hand Controller from the mount and connect the adapter to the same port.

    • Power up the mount

    • Download the SynScan app from Play store or from Sky-watcher. Choose the Pro version which supports alt-az and equatorial mounts, ASCOM platform and SkySafari Plus/Pro

    • Open the SynScan app. Tap the Settings - Location. Put your coordination. Return to the main screen and tap Wi-Fi Setting. In the IP Address tab put 192.168.4.2 and at the Port Number put 11882.

    • Return to the main screen and tap Connect. Choose the WiFi SSID: 192.168.4.1. You are now connected to your mount and you should be able to control it.

    • Without closing the app go back to your apps and choose your Skysafari Plus/Pro. Tap Settings and scroll down to TELESCOPE section and tap Setup. Choose Skywatcher SynScan at Scope Type tab and at Mount type choose your mount (i chose Equatorial Go To). Then at Communication Settings choose Connect via WiFi. Tap 127.0.0.1 at IP Address and 11882 at Port Number. Return to the main screen of Skysafari and tap Scope-Connect.

    • That’s all folks. Piece of cake. Hope to find this one helpful.

    • Friendly reminder: SynScan app PRO must always run along with SkySafari in order to control your mount.

Unfortunately, I cannot take advantage of it. My mount has a built-in wifi adapter in the housing. This instruction is for different wifi module.

OK, for the moment you should forget about SkySafari. Can you control your mount with the SynScan Pro app?

Once you have mastered that, you can proceed to use SkySafari.
