Why Does SS5 Pro No Longer Show DSS Images? (Answer: Latest Android OS Break Compatibility, Please Upgrade To SS6 Pro Or SS7 Pro)

Hello. I've been using SF5 pro on my older phone with no issues. Recently I switched to a new one, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, and with the same settings, DSS images don't load when I request them, showing just a black empty image. I haven't denied permissions to the app, and my DSS cache storage is set at maximun. What could be happening? Kind regards

    I tested this with SS5 Pro as well and found the same. My guess is that Android updates have broken this feature, given that this app was abandoned over 3.5 years ago and replaced with SS6 Pro. I would say go ahead and update to 6 but with 7 due out this year, perhaps soon, it might make sense to hold off since you're still on 5.

    Well, makes sense. In my older phone it worked flawlessly. Seems I will have to update SS to a newer version.

    Just for information, I am able to download DSS images in Sky Safari 6 Pro, but they do not seem to store. When I return to show a DSS image, previously downloaded, it asks me to Redownload. That I should add this to the ongoing mystery of updated Android releases. Samsung Galaxy Note 9,.Android version 10.

    I'm able to download a DSS image, then turn on airplane mode, go back to the same object and show DSS image with no problems. I can even exit the app and reopen while still in airplane mode and it shows.

    Under Settings > Storage what is your DSS cache set to?
