Apple M1 silicon support

Please consider to add support for Starry Night on Apple M1 silicon. The machine is awesome and the graphic capabilities are performant. More models will follow probable during 2021 and we should see further improvements.

For example these are some benchmarks between different Apple laptop configurations.

Agree. My M1 is soooo much faster I can only imaging how well simulations in SNP would run. It will be awesome when it happens. Is there a timeline from the Developers?

I was about to upgrade, but I can't find anything about M1 native on the Mac on your website (or even confirmation that the program is 64 bit native on the mac). Is there any plan to compile for M1 native, since that's what all the mac laptops run on now, and that's what would be used in the field? This thread is over a year old now.

Starry Night 8 is fully compatible with Apple M1 Macs.

    Thanks!

Are you supporting Apple silicon natively or does Starry Night 8 run under Rosetta?

OpenGL has been discontinued on macOS since years. Is SN8 using Metal?

I'm not sure what the developers coded.

But, it looks as good as always.

    Thanks!
