Can I Use SkyFi 3 To Align A SkyWatcher HEQ5 Mount The Same Way Celestron WiFi Works? (Answer: No, Celestron WiFI Has Special Features Not Available In SkyFi 3)

I used to have the Ceelstron evolution and ran my telescope through my phone including the star alignment process. I now have an HEQ5 and purchased a Skyfi device to operate the mount through my phone using Skysafari. But I cant see the initial star alignment process available. is there any way to do this ?

    Phil,

Using SkyFi 3, star-align your mount using the hand controller first.  Then connect with SkySafari.

    Thanks!

thats a shame , because that was one of the best features of the Celestron evolution. Are there any  plans to include this in future releases?

Yes, it is a great feature of Celestron WiFi.

There is no plan to implement the same for SkyFi 3.

I think you will want to look at getting the SkyWatcher WiFi module.  Probably, this offers the same features as Celestron WiFi.
