use of stylus with SkySafari

Would I be able to use a stylus with a tablet (like a Samsung Galaxy, for example) to operate my Celestron NextStar Evolution telescope in cold weather when I'm wearing gloves? My fingers get so cold the touchscreen won't respond, even when I take my gloves off. Looking for a solution to this winter time problem, and my current tablet just bit the dust, so I'm wondering if a tablet with a stylus would solve it. Thanks
