Chris Yes, I'm seeing this bug, the time is wrong on the app. In the screen shot below, you'll see that the time in blue at the top is wrong, while the time in the boxes below is correct. Unfortunately, the time displayed on the chart is the wrong one. The UTC time listed at the bottom is also wrong, as John noted.

John E Thank you, Chris, for confirming it was not something unique to my phone or download. Looking forward to the fix.
-
John Sillasen I hadn't noticed but you're right. The display is behind an hour and even if I remove the Daylight Savings Time check, that forces it BACK one hour, not ahead as it should be.
Nuts, signed in but can't add a screenshot. -
Keiron Smith Thanks, Chris & John(s), we'll get this fixed in an update.
-
Alan Smith I confirm I see the same issue on SS 6+ beta Ver. 6.8.1.5; Moto G6; Android 9.
I also note that the error (UTC behind by one hour) only occurs when the Date lies within the Daylight Saving Time period. e.g. if you set the Date to 2021/03/27 (the day before DST commenced in UK) then the time fields all display correctly and the generated sky is correct.

Keiron Smith Thank you, Alan!

Chris This is also causing lots of things to be off, such as sunrise and moonrise, etc., as well as probably the times on every other object. Can we expect a fix on this soon, as using the app is becoming very difficult in the interim.

Keiron Smith Chris,
I will ping developers to prioritize this.
Thanks!

Alan Smith I have found a workaround so that the correct local time is displayed whilst Daylight Saving is in force.
In Settings > Location there is a field named Standard Time Zone. Add 1 to whatever number is currently shown there and save it.
For me in the UK that field was set to 0, and now it is set to 1.
I can confirm the sunrise at 6.31am local time today occurred on the app at the same time as outside my window!
Of course the times shown on the Settings > Date & Time screen look worse now, but crucially this Time Zone 'offset' compensates for the erroneous double subtraction of 1 hour which is currently being made to the device local time (DST on) in order to deduce UTC time.
Please remember to revert the Time Zone value once this issue is fixed!

Keiron Smith The fix should be in tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your patience.

John Sillasen Thanks Kevin. For that one to miss QA, it must have been a head scratcher. Thanks for the quick turn around on a fix!
-
Alan Smith Hi Keiron
Just wondered if there was a further update on when the fix will be issued and what version number that will be? All seems to have gone quiet and I don't think any update has appeared in the Google Playstore since your last post?
Many thanks, Alan

Dion Greenman The last update my devices got was on 26 March consisting of Russian, Korean and French fixes.
-
Alan Smith Yes, v6.8.1.5 issued 26 March intorduced this problem and that's the verison we currently have.

Chris Hey Keiron Smith just wanted to see where we're at on this, as this problem is exceedingly annoying. You indicated the fix would be in 4/13 but I haven't seen an update. It looks like maybe there has been 1-2 updates on iOS since Android's last update but nothing here. Thanks!

Keiron Smith Ros has done a ton of work refactoring SS6 on Android. We are currently internal beta testing. Will have a public beta very soon.
-
Chris We really appreciate it! Hopefully soon you'll be able to leave SS6 behind and crank out an awesome feature set for SS7! Can't wait to purchase!

markusd112 Same problem here….

Keiron Smith Mark,
This is fixed in the current public beta. Uninstall, reinstall from the Google Play Store.
Thanks!
