Thank you for the reply Chris. Below is the original 4/8 post followed by a comment from Keiron Smith received today. I guess I'll be taking the problem to Celestron. An update since the original post: I had telescope control for a couple hours w/no dropout one night and then the following night I had telescope control for about 30 minutes before it dropped. Follow up comment and question based on Keiron's reply: I only recently purchased SkySafari 6 Pro so I assume that I should have the latest version. Am I supposed to be running the hand controller at the same time as SkySafari? Why would firmware of the hand controller matter?
ORIGINAL POST: I recently purchased a Celestron NexStar Evolution and have had 8 observing sessions. I've had 2 successful sessions with SkyPortal and 1 with SkySafari 6 Pro. The remaining sessions were spent fighting with both applications for hours. The applications connect with the telescope, successfully align, and then begin repositioning towards my first target. Before the scope gets to the object, the application drops the WiFi connection. One time the scope aligned with the object and tracked for 30 minutes and then dropped the connection. Please help. This is very frustrating. I'd rather enjoy my nights than fight with technology.

Make sure you are running the latest version of SkySafari - and that your hand controller is also running the latest firmware. If you continue to struggle with the our apps and your Evolution mount then please contact Celestron Support regarding this query.
Celestron writes the code related to alignment. And, if there is a hardware issue related to your built-in Celestron WiFi, again, it is only them that can help.
