Help Needed To Make A Bluetooth Connection Using SkySafari 7 Plus On Samsung Tab S5e Tablet + Meade LX200

My BT device IS paired with my Samsung Tab S5e tablet.  When I attempt to add a preset for my Meade LX-200 classic I get to the point where the program says "select device" but SkySafari 7 drops out and my screen returns to the tablet home screen immediately.  Phone is using the latest update to the Android OS.

I had no problem linking the BT device and adding a preset on my Samsung Galaxy Z-Fold 3 and I can use the phone to control my telescope, but I would prefer to use the larger tablet.

No. I am pretty sure that there is a problem with Sky Safari that won't allow it to connect to an LX-200.  Maybe the company will update it some day.

Maybe this helps fo you too (since i had the same issue but managed to fix it just an hour or so ago):

    1. Uninstall the App
    2. Go to the App in Google Playstore
    3. There is a Field, where you can klick on "get beta user" (or something like that) just below the field "contact the developer"
    4. when you assigned to the beta, it takes a few moments before being able to download the app (for me it was like half an hour). Once you see the App with (Beta) in its name in the Playstore, you can download it. Then it should work.

The solution was partly guided through this thread, where i discribed my problem similarly to yours:

I followed your instructions and installed the beta version of SkySafari 7 Plus.  I still have the problem.  I go through the "add preset" routine and when I tap "Select Device" the program immediately crashes.  I guess my Galaxy Tab 5SE is different somehow.  Maybe next update. :(
