Why Doesn't Augmented Reality Work Using SS7 + Samsung S23 Phone? (Answer: AR Mode Is Only Available In The iOS Version At This Time - Read On!)

I just purchase a new Samsung S23 mobile phone.  I have Sky Safari Pro installed onto it.  However when I try to use the AR function it does not work.  Is there a setting I have missed.  I would appreciate help in solving this, as it would make my experience more enjoyable.

  Please provide the following info:

  1. App and version.  See Help > scroll to the bottom.
  2. Android OS
  3. Screen recording of app in use when trying to use AR mode.

  Sorry, Ivan, to be clear, Augmented Reality mode is not available in the Android version os SS7.

  AR is only available in the iOS version.

  AR mode is on the roadmap for the Android version of SS7, but I can not offer you an ETA for this feature at this time.

  Hi Keiron,

  Thankyou so much for quick reply, I really appreciated. Hopefully in future updates this can be amended.  I love everything about the app apart from not being able to use the AR function in which in my opinion is a great feature. Once again, thankyou Keiron for the reply.

  I have SS7 Plus running on the same phone. Will AR be available on Plus when it's ready for Android?

  AR mode is included in SS7 Basic, Plus and Pro on iOS.

  So, the answer to your question is yes - when it gets included on Android.
