Can't get Starry Night Pro 6 to open in Windows 7.

I finally upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 32 bit pro. I installed Starry Night Pro 6. I selected install in Windows XP service pack 2 compatibility.

I upgraded my Java. Starry Night Pro 6 will not open. Are there settings in Windows 7 I should look at ?

  Technically, it should work.  But, the 2 disc system is really old, like 20 years old.  I don't know what the issue might be.

  One possibility, make sure you have updated the Windows 7 operating system.

  Apply all Windows OS essential updates.  Then restart the computer.  Check again for updates.  Apply everything again.  Restart.  Check again, etc.

  Keep doing that until you find no more updates available for the Windows OS. 

  Then try SN6 again.
