OK, I connected to the skyhub but without actually connecting the encoders. This makes the skyhub think that it's pointing to the N horizon. I selected Castor as the target to show the arrow. Castor was actually below the horizon but the behaviour is identical everywhere in the sky. Attached are the four screenshots for no flipping, horizontal only, vertical only and both vertical and horizontal. No other change was made between the screenshots. As you can see, the sky is flipped but the arrow is not, and so only points to Castor if the sky is not flipped.
