How To Clear Home Screen Badge Count "1"? (Not Answered: Reinstall The App - Which Does Not Fix)

Several days ago I gjuess there was a notification that I didn't get except the Hom,e Screen badge count on the icon started showing a count of 1.

Been into the app and I can't find anywhere causing it (to clear it). Exited/killed the app and re-run and it stays there. Done everything other threads suggest but can't clear it (other threads relate to version 6.

Of course I can switch off notifications/badger count is Notification settings but that then just disables app functionalirty.

How does one clear this (again)?

Thanks

    Please re-install the app.

Backup your data via Settings > LiveSky first.

You can download again via your App Store > Purchased Apps (category).

    Thanks!

Done that as same. Immediately on re-install badge count there. Reapplied saveed settings and badge count still there and no (obvious way to clear it).

Any other suggestions. It must be notifying me of something but what? Or is it just a bug?

    Thanks

I don't think this is an issue with our software that we can fix.  Apple software programming handles the notifications.  We just choose when to send a notifications.  We do not "program" the notifications.  However, we can ask Matt Hjelle if he has any thoughts on this, as he is the one who sends the notifications.

With apps the notifications it is normally the app that clears the notification e.g. e-mail received and notification and badge count and when you go into the e-mail and read the particular message the e-mail client app clears the notification e.g. Messages where you receive a text message and notification/badge count but it's when you go into Messages app and open the specific message that the notification is cleared. Apple software has no idea what or when the user has done whatever is being notified e.g. read the e-mail or viewed the calendar event or viewed the Signal Message ...

So if notification sent to SkySafari it is up to the SkySafari app to clear the notification once the user has done whatever to read/see/act on whatever the notification was about. So if SkySafari isn't clearing the notification that the badge count remains is no surprise - it's what is bound to happen.
