I had the H-R Diagram open.
Screen flip was set to Both. The H-R Diagram was on the top right but not all was showing. I touched the diagram and it disappeared.
I have reset the iPad, Closed and opened SkySafari. The H-R Diagram will not come back.

Here is an update.
I removed and reinstalled SkySafri 7 Pro. So much fun.
Once I reinstalled I opened, set my location, checked that the app was functioning. The I went back to settings and opened the H-R Diagram.
The H-R Diagram did appear on the screen but when I touched it to expand it disappeared. I do not find a way to get it back.
And I just was able to replicate the problem on a iPhone 8 plus.

The screen flip is the FOV flip for a reflector telescope. It turned out that did not matter. After I reinstalled SS7 I did not have the switch set to both and the H-R Diagram disappeared the same.

This is a known issue, yes a UX bug of sorts.
Best not to drag the H-R diagram near the edge of the screen on either iOS or iPadOS.
It is possible to lose the diagram, and difficult to retrieve and reposition.
Reinstall and see if you can use adjust the size while keeping the diagram more in the center of the screen.

I think the bug is worse than dragging it to the edge of the screen. After I reinstalled all I did was touch it and it was gone.
Is there a fix in the future planned? It is a handy feature when exploring carbon stars.

I still have the SkySafari 6 Plus Ver 6.8.5.2.
The H-R Diagram works great on that with my iPad and iPhone. It seems like the Pro version should work as well.

I will bring it again to the attention of developers. I can't promise a fix ETA.
At this time, try to keep the H-R diagram small in size, centered on your screen.
