Planet paths across sky with timestamps?

I just purchased SkySafari 7 Plus. I was hoping to select a planet and see its path across the sky, with timestamps corresponding to when it will be at each location. This is super helpful when planning sessions for later in the night to envision when/where a planet will be. However, I can't see to find a way to enable this.

  • If I enable "Selected Object Orbit" this seems to show the orbit around the sun (which may or may not be the same as its path across the sky?). And there are no timestamps shown.
  • If I enable "Selected Object Path" this shows some timestamps, but they are days/weeks/months into the future. It seems to show where the planet will be far into the future at this specific time of day.

Neither of those are quite what I am after. Does this feature exist in SkySafari? Some other apps do this (complete with AR control, where you can point the device camera at a point in the sky and it will tell you when the planet will be there.. example here). And I was really hoping to consolidate all my planning/viewing into a single app (SkySafari).

    Michael,

I don't see the example but wouldn't the time window give you the to the second that an object position would be on it's path?

    Hi Michael,

Please post screenshots of the following:

    Thanks!
