What Is A Good Astrophotography Camera To Attach To My Scope So I can See Images On My Computer? (Answer: Read On!)

I am running starry night 8 Pro with a nextstar 8se telescope. I want to connect a camera to the eye piece so I can see the image on my computer. What cameras are bust to use with starry night in order to do this?

    Alexander,

This is really just a question about which camera is best for you.

I think you would do well to search YouTube for:

    1. Beginner Astrophotography
    2. Celestron Astrophotography
    3. Beginner Astrophotography cameras.

And that will get you started.

Celestron has a lot of options, lots of different prices.

    Thanks!

I should have mentioned I'm using a MacBook with Starry Night...will it still be possible to see on my computer what the camera on the telescope is seeing?

    Please see here:

    https://www.celestron.com/products/neximage-burst-color

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uFXaqu-_JQ&t=1s

    • View and capture live video of the Sun, Moon, and planets on your computer

If this is what you're interested in then please contact Celestron Support for more information.

    Also check YouTube videos.

Starry Night will only be used for tracking objects across the sky.

Any imaging, and viewing of captured images on your MacBook, will be handled by another application running at the same time as Starry Night.

    Thanks!
