On dates close to the equinoxes, geostationary satellites enter the projected shadow of the Earth. At points close to the shadow, the satellites are much brighter than the rest of the year, making satellites visible even to the naked eye.
It would help a lot for this purpose to be able to select the projection distance of the Earth Shadow Circles.
The old "Heavensat" program allows you to set the shadow projection distance to the user's liking(attached image). I think Skysafari deserves to have this option.
