How Come The Stars Are Black Spheres? (Answer: Reinstall The App And Check OpenGL Options)

Intalled Starry Night CSAP 8 and stars are black. I'm familiar with the software, started using it in 2001. When I travel to a star it turns black. I have read other threads that advise to reinstall the software and I have done this many many times of course lol. Also, because I will be asked, I uninstalled it the correct way.

In Preferences > Shaders > check and uncheck the "Use Advanced Hardware" option.

The stars require a certain level of OpenGL which may not be enabled, or available on your computer hardware.

    Thanks!

Also make sure you have installed everything to the default locations on the C:/ drive.

Ive done both. My OpenGL is up to date. Black stars. Ive already purchased even more Simulation Curriculum astronomy software of course. Moving on. Starry Night is the worst astro software on the market and whoever is in charge of it should be ashamed...was the best.
