[Time Zone] Why Is Time Ahead By One Hour? (Solution: Fixed, Please Update To Latest Version)

Sky Safari 7 Pro 7.3.3

I have noticed a new problem with Sky Safari on my iPad and iPhone: Time is ahead by one hour. 

Settings:

Sate & Time: Use Current Time ON, Automatic Daylight Saving Time ON

Location: Current Location

  1. With fresh start os Sky Safari, Time initially shows correct hour, but then quickly jumps ahead one hour.
  2. Go to Location settings and select “Use Current Location”.
  3. Time is now correct.
  4. Quit Sky Safari, then fresh start again and return to (1) - problem is back.
  • There’s another annoying problem that is less predictable: “Light Time” is sometimes mysteriously turned OFF.

What’s going on? Thank you.

    I was just messing with the same issue when I was at a dark site last night.  It turned out that I had set the Standard Time Zone wrong on Location Hours from GMT.  

    Is your correction for GMT correct?

    My time zone is Pacific, so Pacific Standard Time is -8 from GMT.

    Though I am noticing that when Sky Safari fresh starts, it has this setting incorrect at -7. There seems to be something wrong with the Location, even though selecting "Use Current Location" does not change the Latitude and Longitude settings.

    I just set my location to "Use Current Location" and restarted SS.  I see the same problem, like it does not allow for daylight savings.  In my actual location settings nothing changes and the time is correct.  

    I see that this issue was reported previously. 

    In the interim I would create a location that is the same as current and use that.

    Yesterday’s SkySafari 7 Pro update v7.3.5 fixes the Timezone issue.

    (I do have auto update for apps ON, but oh well.)

    I did the update and it worked for me also.  Thanks for the input.

    Does the H-R Diagram work for either of you?

    Yes, I am able to display the H-R diagram.

    When I tried to move the window the H-R Diagram disappeared.
