Originally from ticket #5278.
Using OS X Lion...and SN ProPlus 6...Still getting the 'Bluetooth-PDA-Sync' when trying to configure my scope ..(Meade 200LX GPS 12") Installed and reinstalled USB drivers and restarts...still not displaying anything different. Checked with the manufacturer of the USB/serial port adapter and I have the most current/compatable driver. Ok...now what?? :)

Hi Stu,
if you are using a USB to serial adapter you will need to install a driver. If the driver is not installed or recognized you will not see additional options for connecting your telescope under "Configure". If you have installed the driver but do not see further connection options consider the following:
1. Restart you computer - often required for drivers to be recognized after installation.
2. Reinstall the driver - perhaps it was not successfully installed the first time.
3. Contact the support department of the USB to serial manufacturer and confirm that the driver you are installing is both the most current driver and compatible with your operating system (this is an important consideration for Mac users running OS X 10.6 & 10.7).
Already tried this....and the procedure for plugging in the scope and then starting SN....to no avail....
What if I Uninstall and re-install SN??
Got it fixed....long story and a little creativity....despite what the USB manufacturer says (outsourced) they did not have the most up to date driver...got it and it installed fine and now it works...Thanks
