Stars light on the surface

How do I remove the Light from a star, when standing on the surface. The yellow light prevents me to watch the local Universe. And I cant find the control to remove it.

  HI Michael,

  This has been turned into a feature request.  You are right, it is difficult to see the background stars against the halo of any star you are standing on.
