Starry Night 6 Pro | Error Message: Failed to create or open the plugin's registry area (Solution: Run As Admin)

Telescope mount = Celestron AVX

Telescope = Explore Scientific 104mm APO

Operating System = Windows 8

ASCOM version - 6.2

Error message = "Failed to create or open the plugin's registry area"

Upon opening Starry Nights I select the "Telescope" tab, then click on "Configure." The ASCOM Telescope Chooser opens, and I select "Celestron Telescope Driver." Under "Properties" I ensure a COM port is selected, then press "OK." That's when I get the error code. 

I must be missing something in the User Guide. Please help.

    Hi Kelly, 

    Please right click on the Starry Night app icon and choose "Run as Admin" - the error message will go away.
