Nexstar compatibility? (Mac-specific)

Hi

Are the Nexstar 5SE and 8SE still the only Celestrons of that range that can be operated using Starry Night Pro on a Mac? I did see a respondent on these forums say that he had SNP6 working with a Nexstar 4SE - that's the scope I'm looking to purchase and wanted to see if it would work. Would also consider a 6SE if it's compatible. Any difference in compatibility between SNP6 and 7? (I have 6 and would upgrade to 7 if either the 4SE or 6SE are supported.)

    Hi Matt,

    On V7 yes, your Celestron SE (any model) will be supported.  Your Celestron SE should also work using V6.  Any Celestron SE model should work with both V6 and V7.  However, the telescope plugin has been rewritten for V7, improved significantly, and now also supports SkyFi wireless telescope control natively on Mac.
