I am using SkySafary Plus ver 4.4.3 for android. Issue in NexStar protocol.
Checking the communication via bluetooth serial it appears to me that the app request RA DEC ("e" command) and send goto RA DEC ("r" command) independently of the choice of mount type (i.e. even if you select Alt-Az goto mount in the app).
I know that the controller can convert from and to RA DEC and ALT AZ. Wouldn't it be better to work with ALT AZ commands ("z" and "b" for NexStar) with Alt-Az mounts? The calculations could be performed in the app, with much better accuracy, and timing.
