I had to reinstall Starry Night Pro (for Windows XP and SNPro update downloaded and installed) on my laptop. Installed ASCOM telescope plug in in plug-ins. I do not get the telescope option tab in the Starry Night program. This all worked previously with the program and telescope on this computer. Did the ASCOM update too -- still no telescope option.
Any ideas on getting the telescope function back in the program?

This is a bug in older version of Starry Night (a conflict with new operating systems and software)
You need to upgrade to version 6. Please see the upgrades page here:

I have the same problem with Win 7 Ultimate, version Pro 6.4.3. The problem goes away if I connect my laptop via HDMI on a wide TV.

You need to be sure you have enough screen real estate to open the Starry Night application window completely. If you can see the tab on your TV that is probably because your TV is a bigger screen permitting the full window to be open. The issue is tied to resolution of your monitor. Change the resolution - make it higher, and you will see all the tabs.
