Can I connect to a non-ASCOM compliant telescope?

I am using EzDSC encoders and hand-controller for my EQ Platform. It is not ASCOM compliant. Is there a generic driver I can try to get the connection to work with StarryNight Pro Plus 6? I really want this to work...  :-)
