As a new feature I would love to see integration with MaximDL but maybe the other way around. For my imaging sessions, I would highly benefit from an Ascom plugin to use within MaximDL to indicate a “Starrynight 7 controlled telescope” option. For the rest of the imaging tasks I would rather use Maxim. Starrynight should send the object coordinates, object name and scope information directly to the Exif file of each image according to the scope position indicated in SN (since SN is controlling the scope). What starrynight could later do is providing a plate analysis module to assist sync operations for better scope pointing accuracy and framing the target object.
