Starry Night Mac and Skyfi

You describe how to connect Starry Night to SkyFi using a virtual serial port for Windows.  What about Macs?  Does SNP7 also need a VSP?  Can Starry Night Pro 7 for Mac connect to a telescope using SkyFi?

    Hello Rimbaud,

Yes, you can use Starry Night Pro 7 on Mac and SkyFi to connect to a telescope - you will not need to install VSP.

Here are links to more information on SkyFi:

    Hello Rimbaud,

On OS X, SkyFi integration is built into (natively) Starry Night 7.  It's almost plug n play :)

    Thank you, Sophie and Keiron,

I just tested it out on my LX90 ACF using SNP7 in OS X Yosemite on my Macbook Air, and also using El Capitan on my iMac.  Worked flawlessly, really easy to use in both cases.  Many thanks!!

I will also test it out on my LX200 ACF in a week or two (when I get to the mountains)--will confirm it works on that as well.

I'm very happy with it, thank you!

PS--would not have bought it without Keiron's email encouragement.  You should tell your sales staff.  And they should update the product page as well as enclosed instructions to mention that it works with SN, not just Sky Safari.
