I have created observing lists, but the files are not located in the “C:\Documents and Settings\<user name here>\Local Settings\Application Data\Imaginova Canada” folder as indicated in the User Guide. I also can't find them when running a windows file search. Can you help me with this challenge?

I am a fellow end-user and I saw your request for file locations. I may be able to help you with this.
CAUTION: Please exercise extreme caution when in the system folders. I strongly recommend you have a current backup before proceeding.
The Observing List, ‘Viewing Locations’ as they are called in SN, files on a Windows 7 machine are located as follows...
The file that contains the locations you add to the database is:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Imaginova Canada\Prefs\Locations\Earth-E.txt
The default file that comes with SN is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Starry Night Pro Plus 6\Sky Data\Locations\Earth-E.txt
If you are using a different Operating System, or did a custom install your files may be located elsewhere. You can use the file search of your Operating System to search the drive(s) for the file “Earth-E.txt”.
Again - Please exercise extreme caution when in the system folders. I strongly recommend you have a current backup before proceeding.
