How do I get rid of white patches in the sky

I am getting large white discs in the sky. They disappear if I zoom in. How do I get rid of them?

  What video card do you have? Have you tried grabbing the latest video drivers?

  Thanks. That was it. But I had to go through the video card website rather than just looking for driver updates. Many thanks.
