I would like to know the names of the two very bright stars (planets) in the night sky at the moment. I know one is Venus but I would like to know the name of the other one. Thank you.

  These are the planets Jupiter and Venus. Venus is the brighter of the two. They will be closest on March 15, then will draw apart again.
