Will Starry Night work with multiple monitors?

Originally from ticket #4985.

I have a computer setup running Windows XP with multiple monitors. I have two monitors connected to a dual head gForce card (digital and analog outputs) and one monitor connected to a Plugable USB display adaptor (USB to VGA). Question: will any of your products work with such a setup? I'm not asking that the program display simultaneously on all monitors, I just want to know if multiple monitors in this configuration will allow the program to work at all (i.e.: without crashing the system or video distortion).

    Hello,

Starry Night will indeed work with multiple monitors. The only requirement is that the video card and drivers support OpenGL 1.4 or higher (2.0 is recommended).

Judging by your system specs your dual head gForce card should work great with Starry Night. The USB display adaptor might not support OpenGL 1.4, however. In that case if the adapter is set as a primary display Starry Night will not run. However, if it is set as a secondary or tertiary display you will be able to run Starry Night and even drag its window onto that display. That being said, you will note that Starry Night will not be as smooth on the USB video card powered display.

Enjoy running Starry Night on your triple-monitor system!
