Originally from ticket #4909.
Simple question: I can figure how to display proper motion vectors, but nowhere can I find the rate of movement represented by the vector.

Dave Whipps Right-click the star that you're interested in and choose "Show Info..." to open the Info pane.
In the group called "Position in Space" the proper motions are listed as rates of change in RA and Dec.
