I have been having problems configuring my mount in SN Pro Plus. The mount is an Orion Atlas EQ-G. I am running Windows 7 and ASCOM Platform 6 and SN v 6.4.3.
I open the Telescope pane and it shows “Shoestring” I use the pull down and select “Celestron Scope Driver;” I click Properties and select NexStar 5 and com port 7 and click OK and then click OK the ASCOM TRACER pane.
The result is always the same – I get a message reading “Failed to create or open the plug-in’s registry area.” I never get to the CONNECT phase and every time I try and do it again – it starts with “Shoestring” and the same results as above.
I do not have this problem with Maxim DL; FocusMax; Sky 6 even though I am also selecting “Celestron Scope Driver;” clicking Properties and selecting NexStar 5 and com port 7 or with (SkySafari using StarSeek).
