Hello,

I have a question the software:

I am wondering how I can calculate the ? (question mark) on the attached image with starry night pro.

I can find the angular separation between the A, B & C stars, but how can I find the value of "e-f" if I assume "d-e" = 1? I can visually guess its around 0.125 but how do I calculate the precise number?

    Hello Daantje,

if I interpret your Image correctly you want to calculate something like the decliantion difference between A and B (perhaps also between A and C as well as between B and C) in a given coordinate System. For that you need the coordinates of A, B and C in that coordinate System. If you don't have them you need the angle between yout thick white line and the lines from C to A and from C to B respectively. With These and the angular separations between A, B and C you can use the formulas of spherical trigonometry. Please forgive me that I don't give you  these formulas right here.

    Kind regards,

    Ingo
