Sun surface models

When selecting any of the additional surface models, this is the result and it looks like the surface model size is incorrect.

Anyone else have this problem?

As requested I verified this problem and MORE! So yes, it looks like the surface models need to be upsized so I went to the "Add/Edit" selection of the "Surface models pop up box. There are sliders there that allow you to change certain parameters of the object (or the surface model overlay). None of them worked. In fact, I killed the program trying to do this. Here's the sequence that seems to kill SNPP first time every time:

Select the Sun and then Right click on it to bring up the context menu. Select "Surface model" and then select the "Add/edit" Dialog. Click on each tab in this order: Other settings, Surface/Model, Orbital Elements. As soon as I click on Orbital elements, the SNP sky screen goes black. The "Sun: Sun" dialog and the Options pane and borders remain and the display controls all seemed responsive but no matter what I tried, I could not restore the sky display. I had to restart SNPP in order to get the screen back.

Try this and let us know what happens ;)

    Same happens to me.

How do we raise a ticket? Do we have to be on the beta tester list?

I just reported this new one on the beta side. Yes, you need to be approved to be a beta tester to fill out a "ticket" there. You can fill out a request here [http://beta.starrynight.com/reqreg.php] for the privilege of providing free testing services for your purchased product ;)

As for anyone else being able to raise a ticket, I've heard that's possible but I've never found the site that let's me do it. Only this help forum.

Let me know if the Gods give you an answer.

Hi. I raised a ticket on this a few weeks ago, so it should be in the list of 'problems'.

    Cheers, Mark.
