V7 - Cannot be installed on the following windows versions Windows Xp x64, Windows Vista x64, Windows Vista x64 Service Pack 1, Windows 7 x64, Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.

I just bought the Starry Night Pro 7 upgrade.

Prior to purchase I observed Windows 7 is required. I am using window 7. Having purchased and downloaded the windows version my installation tells me Starry Night pro 7 cannot be installed on the following windows versions Windows Xp x64, Windows Vista x64, Windows Vista x64 Service Pack 1, Windows 7 x64, Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.

So, it says it wont install on XP x64, I try then XP x86: and a pop up windows tells me it wont install on XPx86 or Windows 7 x86 etc.

So, this doesn’t install on Windows 7 x64 or x86 despite your information on the purchase page that it does.

As an honest, paying customer, I feel cheated.

Nice going

Please go to Control Panel ---> Windows updates ---> Apply/install all essential and important updates for your operating system.

If Windows Updates says there are no updates available then please go here:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/service-packs-download#sptabs=win7

Download and install the SP1 update for your OS.

Then retry the installation. It will work.

ok- so I did that- it installed, now crashes after I click save as home location ( I just click the 1st one on the list). I guess you must be getting the crash reports.

Are you using an Intel graphics card?  Please review this KB article here:

    https://support.simulationcurriculum.com/entries/33802044-Error-message-A-problem-caused-the-program-to-stop-working-correctly-Windows-will-close-the-program-

Make sure you follow the instructions for updating your graphics card driver first.  Then proceed with the script.exe (or adding/replacing the Prefs.txt file).

Please let me know if that works for you.
