I want to goto Abel 21, aka The Medusa Nebula. The search feature does not recognize the term "Medusa Nebula" and the input "Abell 21" takes it to an obscure galaxy group about 160 degrees away from the real Abell 21. Is this just a glitch or is there a fix?

Keiron Smith Hi Jeffrey,
I don't know why Abell 21 is missing. I'll have the developers look at the Abell database in Starry Night 7. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Kind regards,
Keiron

Ron Bokleman Was this ever resolved? I don't think so as SN7 Pro still cannot locate this object. Can we get a fix please??

Keiron Smith Hi Ron,
We'll have another look at this for the next 7.5.6. update.
Hang in there!

Ron Bokleman Keiron,
Will do! :-)
I own both SkySafari 5 Pro (Mac/iOS) and Starry Night 7 Pro (Windows). Both have their advantages/disadvantages. I love the Observing Lists in both and keep them in synch...which is a lot easier between the Mac/iOS as you can use iCloud. I'd love to point SN at the SF iCloud folder and do an import.
Typically when looking for imaging targets, I'll start in SF. Add the target to a specific Constellation Observing List, and then transfer the same item to the same list in SN.
I use SN to control my mount/scope as I don't use my expensive Mac for imaging. Instead I use Windows/ASCOM as the disk space per target can get quite extensive...sometimes in the 250GB range during the post processing phase.
I added Abell 21 to a SkySafari 5 Pro observing list and then went to update Starry Night and found it was missing. I went to report it and found this post.

Keiron Smith Hi Ron,
By SF I'm assuming you mean SkySafari? We use SS as the short form for SkySafari.
'And let me say, integration between SkySafari and Starry Night is on the todo list, including sharing observing lists. But, I can not give you an ETA.
That said, we have a feature requests forum here:
Please post your feature request in there, and let's see how many other SN+SS users would like to get behind you idea ;) Feature requests can be upvoted.
Thanks!
